Your prepaid rate plan is changing as of June 10th, 2022

Thank you for being a valued PC Mobile customer, we appreciate you choosing our high quality prepaid service for your mobile needs. To ensure we can continue to deliver the best possible service, we need to make changes to our market rates from time-to-time.

What is changing?

Your monthly prepaid base plan rate will increase from $0 to $10 per month as of June 10th, 2022. All of the rate plan features that you currently enjoy will remain unchanged, including FREE incoming standard text messages, and for your local calls – the industry-leading rate of 20 cents per minute.

With this change, you will also receive an extra 10 minutes of local talk time every month.

These changes are effective as of June 10th, 2022 and will be processed on your Monthly Anniversary Date. (Please refer to “Additional FAQs” below for more information on your Monthly Anniversary Date).

Why the change?

PC Mobile uses the same network as Bell which covers 99% of the Canadian population on a fast coast-to-coast 4G network. Price increases happen from time to time to support investments in our network and services. We have continued to invest in our LTE network, expanding into over 16,000 communities in Canada. That means your PC Mobile service works in more places in Canada than ever before and provides over 93% of the population with fast, LTE coverage.

What action do I need to take?

To avoid any service interruption, please ensure you have topped up your account with enough funds prior to your Monthly Anniversary Date to cover your monthly plan, 911 service fees (where applicable) and/or Add-on charges.

Are my Add-ons affected by this change?

If you subscribe to any Add-ons, they will not be affected.

I recently topped up and thought my rates were locked in. How does that work?

In order to use prepaid services, you need to add a top-up amount to cover any rate plan charge, plus any other usage you may have.

Once you apply the top-up amount of your choosing using the 16-digit top-up pin number, the amount will be applied to your account to keep your service active. Based on the amount you applied, the funds will remain valid as follows:

  • $15 top-up is valid for 30 days,

  • $25 top-up is valid for 60 days, and

  • $100 top-up is valid for 365 days.

It is important to note that your rate plan or rates are not locked in for this period. During this time, you may still change your rate plan as per your usage needs.

As long as you top-up before your expiry date, any active funds get carried over for you to use.  Your rate plan charge, Add-ons and any other usage simply get deducted from your active balance.

I did not agree to this price increase. How can this happen?

Please kindly note that through our Terms of Service, we have provided impacted customers with the applicable notice of this change (30-90 days). All customers accept and agree to the Terms of Service at the point of activation, as well as every time they top-up their PC Mobile prepaid account. Our Terms of Service can be found here.

When is my Monthly Anniversary Date, and why is it important?

When is my Monthly Anniversary Date?

  • Your Monthly Anniversary date is on the day of the month you activated your PC Mobile service. For example, if you activated your service on June 14th, your Monthly Anniversary Date is the 14th of each month.

  • If you activated on the 29th, 30th or 31st of the month, your Monthly Anniversary Date will be that day, or will be adjusted to the last day of the month if needed. For example, if you activated on May 31st, your next Monthly Charge Date will be June 30th.

  • If you don’t know your Monthly Anniversary Date, you can find it by visiting the MyPCmobile app or by calling #PCMO (#7266) FREE from your PC Mobile phone, or 1-877-284-6361 from any other phone and a PC Mobile representative will assist you.

Why is my Monthly Anniversary Date important?

  • Your PC Mobile service (Plan + Add-Ons) is renewed on this day every month. Whether you Top-Up manually with a PC Mobile voucher, with a credit card, or you choose an Automatic Top-Up option, you will need to have enough balance in your PC Mobile account on your Monthly Anniversary Date each month. This will ensure you can continue using your PC Mobile service without disruption.
